Users are required to take a Placement Test first. This establishes their initial level.

The test is in a multiple choice format. It is adaptive; users are presented with items that reflect their performance on preceding questions. As a result, all users answer a different sequence of questions. Each Placement Test will consist of between 40 and 80 questions.

Results can be viewed immediately after completing the test.

Learners are able to take further Placement Tests. However, they must complete at least one Diagnostic Test session between Placement Tests.
